Rhino Coffee, 624 Texas St.
Downtown’s favorite gathering space for coffee and chat, Rhino Coffee at 624 Texas Street, has gotten its AC repaired and hours are now 7 am-5 pm. Pending hiring of additional staff, hours could be extended further. Rhino is open seven days a week with coffees and teas, breakfast and lunch sandwiches and burritos and a counter filled with fresh-baked scones, muffins and cookies.
Breakfast at The Glass Hat Cafe, 423 Crockett St.
The Glass Hat restaurant at 423 Crockett Street is now open from 7 am-2 pm Monday-Friday. Breakfast items are available until 10:30 each day and remember The Glass Hat’s tasty plate lunch specials M-F.
Ashley’s Tiers of Love, 420 Marshall St.
Ashley’s Tiers of Love bakery at 420 Marshall Street is now open Tuesday-Friday from 7:30 am-4:30 pm and 9:00 am- 2:00 pm on Saturdays. New to the menu are breakfast items, including a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich or a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich; both served on a toasted Kaiser bun. Hash browns and juice or coffee are also available along with cinnamon rolls and other baked item. Breakfast is served M-F 7:30 until 10:30 and Saturdays 9 am- 11 am.
The Shreveport Aquarium, 601 Clyde Fant Parkway
The Shreveport Aquarium is switching to fall hours on August 14. Monday through Friday, the aquarium will open at noon with last entry at 5 pm, Saturdays they will open at 9 am with last entry at 5 pm and Sundays, they will open at 10 am, with last entry at 5 pm.
